    Job description

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Audubon is currently seeking a QC Lead Site Supervisor to join our team in our Houston, TX Office. The QC Lead Site Supervisor collaborates with project teams to promote continuous improvement, ensure adherence to specifications, and support the successful delivery of projects. The QC Lead will work under the direction of the Quality Manager and Director of Quality and Compliance.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Implement and enforce the Project Quality Plan and Audubon's Quality Management System.
    • Supervise daily QC inspection activities across civil, structural, mechanical, piping, and/or electrical scopes (as applicable to project).
    • Ensure all work aligns with approved IFC drawings, specifications, ITPs, and contract requirements.
    • Verify subcontractor compliance with project quality standards.
    • Coordinate and perform inspections per approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
    • Witness and document testing activities (hydrotests, NDT, coatings inspections, electrical testing, etc.).
    • Review and validate material receiving inspections and ensure traceability documentation is maintained.
    • Ensure calibration records and testing equipment certifications are current.
    • Maintain accurate and timely QC records, inspection reports, and turnover documentation.
    • Track and manage NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), ensuring corrective actions are implemented and verified.
    • Support compilation of Mechanical Completion (MC) and turnover packages for client acceptance.
    • Provide daily and weekly quality reports to project leadership
    • Serve as primary QC interface with field supervision and subcontractors.
    • Participate in client audits, inspections, and quality meetings.
    • Support resolution of quality-related field issues in collaboration with engineering and construction team
    • Promote proactive quality culture across the project site.
    • Identify trends or recurring quality issues and recommend preventive measures.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME, AWS, API, NEC, ISO 9001, etc., as applicable to project scope).
    • Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities:
    • All employees are responsible for supporting Audubon Companies' Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. This includes:
    • Performing duties in a manner that protects personal and team health and safety
    • Participating in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities
    • Identifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions
    • Following safe work practices and complying with applicable regulatory requirements
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to be in the customer plant, usually involving heavy industrial (chemical) production facilities and access all areas of the facility. Therefore, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; and the risk of electric shock. The noise level in workplace can be loud to moderate depending on assignment.

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

    • 10+ years of field quality control experience in industrial construction projects.
    • Demonstrated experience on EPC or large capital projects.
    • Working knowledge of industry codes and standards relevant to project scope.
    • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
    • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
    • Certifications such as CWI, API, NACE, or equivalent (as applicable to scope) preferred.
    • Excellent speaking, writing, communication and organizational skills; public speaking plus.
    • Prior technical writing and/or project leadership experience a plus.
    • Computer literate and familiar with MS Office software; SharePoint experience a plus.
