Lead the division-wide adoption of AI-assisted and agentic engineering across all application development teams. The role builds shared assets, standards, training, and community that take teams from individual experimentation to embedded, measurable, AI-first ways of working.

In this position, you lead the Compressor Technique Aftermarket AI community of practice by bringing teams together and simultaneously building and supporting the broader Atlas Copco community.
You are responsible for setting up and running a structured knowledge-sharing framework across teams, including software development, project management, data and analytics, embedded engineering, and other relevant domains.

The role includes building and curating shared AI assets such as skill frameworks, agent files, prompt libraries, reusable patterns, starter packs, and a catalogue of real-world use cases.
You also define and roll out standards and governance for AI-assisted work, ensuring alignment with security, compliance, and data policies, and integrating these standards into Atlas Copco’s product development methodology.

In addition, you design and deliver both online and in-person training programs, complemented by one-on-one guidance and team coaching to support adoption and capability building.
The role establishes a measurement framework to baseline and track key performance indicators such as productivity, quality, adoption, and return on investment.

Finally, you continuously monitor the rapidly evolving AI tooling landscape, conduct evaluations, and follow up on decisions related to investments in hardware, open models, and procurement.

To succeed, you will need
  • At least 5 years of production-level software development and delivery experience.
  • Strong hands-on software engineering across more than one stack (e.g. .NET, Python, Matlab, Flutter, data, and/or embedded).
  • Demonstrated practical use of AI coding / agentic tools (Copilot, Claude, Codex, or equivalent) on real delivery work.
  • Experience building reusable engineering assets (frameworks, test harnesses, agents) and getting them adopted by others.
  • Understanding the evolving cost models of AI agents + Understanding the security impact of different AI alternatives.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and community-building skills; able to influence without authority. Fluent English communication skills.
  • Familiarity with the full SDLC and with governance, security, and compliance considerations.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Databricks, Azure, Flutter, Matlab, or embedded / firmware environments.
  • Exposure to ML / agent workflows and to evaluating models and tooling.
  • Prior experience running an internal community of practice or enablement program.

If this sounds like you, we’d love to get to know you and see if you not only match our Lead Agentic Engineer role but also resonate with our company values.
