Summary   

Looking to grow your career in the Transportation Field? Associated Grocers is the company for you! We are currently seeking CDL Truck Drivers to join our fleet of Top-Notch Truck Drivers! Truck Drivers are responsible for safely operating fully-loaded tractor-trailer rigs and delivering the merchandise to customers in a safe and efficient manner. While performing this task, Truck Drivers operate: automatic transmissions; Internationals, Freightliners, Kenworth, Mack; day cabs; and/or 45, 48, or 53 foot Refrigeration Trailers to transport merchandise.  Truck Drivers are guaranteed 40 hours per week!

Pay

Starting Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
Pay Increase after 90 days
After One Year:  $27.53 per hour
Sign-On Bonus:  $1,000 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Depart the warehouse on a scheduled basis with a manifest bearing the driver’s name and a listing of stores where deliveries and/or pickups are to be made.
  2. Verify the seal number with an authorized store representative and, after unloading, account for shortages, mislabels or returns.
  3. Responsible for the unloading and accounting of returned items upon returning to the warehouse.
  4. May be required to perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education and/or Experience                   

Qualified applicants must meet DOT qualifications, have at least 6 months of recent verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience, a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), and a valid Medical Qualification Card.  Drivers must also be able to routinely lift and move merchandise weighing 40-60 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.  This position requires work on weekends and holidays.
