Job Description & Qualifications
Ford's Information Technology Learning and Development organization is seeking a Learning Experience Designer to support critical training projects and initiatives. To support global initiatives, the position combines the fields of design (interaction, user experience, graphic and game) with the elements of education, instructional design, and experiential learning. The position also develops, evaluates, and summarizes key learning metrics. It requires expertise in Instructional Systems Design (ISD) models, working with Subject Matter Experts/Project Teams/Business Partners, and strategic and critical thinking. Position Duties
- Work with stakeholders to analyze learning needs, identify learning objectives, and ensure learning meets customer expectations
- Plan, design, develop, implement, and evaluate human-centered, learner-focused training projects for various Ford IT audiences
- Provide thought leadership for instructional design, performance consulting, effective learning strategies, experiential learning, and learning solution delivery
- Coordinate and manage projects to ensure successful implementation on budget by targeted delivery dates
- Prepare learning roadmaps and milestones, presentations and other major project support material as needed
- Create transformative learning experiences for IT employees and leverage online learning platforms and content curation
- Design and maintain end-to-end learning experiences, including marketing, and managing communications and engagement activities
- Drive a learning mindset with peer-to-peer and social learning and community-based interactions
- Identify and diagnose performance gaps using industry standard tools and processes
- Design solutions that meet the needs of a global and diverse audience
- Design and develop videos, Web-based training, instructor-led virtual classroom learning and job aids (i.e., blended learning) to support Ford IT initiatives, skill building needs, processes, and procedures
- Maintain and modify existing training materials and courses as needed
- Find innovative learning solutions to support IT customers and continuously scan the environment for new ways of learning
- Communicate and partner with IT leaders to understand their learning needs
- Support governance of IT curriculum & align learning resources to job families, competencies and learning needs
- Research trends and develop proposals based on industry benchmarking
- Proactively coach and consult with customers and teams on best approach to address gaps
- Interface with L&D vendors to provide best-in-class curated content
- Identify evaluation metrics that support programs and provide metrics and data to support ITL&D/IT/TSP objectives and intended business outcomes

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Educational/Instructional Technology or related field
- Five-seven years previous learning and development experience
- Strong strategic analysis and design skills with an emphasis on future-focused learning experiences
- Ability to think strategically and translate business performance gaps into learning and development strategies
- Ability to work well in a team environment using strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and team leadership skills
- Ability to quickly learn and adopt new technology, tools, and methods
- Performance consulting skills and learning needs assessment experience
