Position Overview

One Ultrasound Technician is needed for a 13-week assignment covering mostly 10-hour day shifts, rotating shifts, and on-call coverage, including overnight call and occasional graveyard shifts if needed. This role requires strong acute-care ultrasound experience with proficiency in vascular and OB imaging. Candidates must live 50+ miles from the facility.

Assignment Details
  • Modality: Ultrasound Technician

  • Openings: 1

  • Schedule: Day shift (mostly 10-hour shifts), rotating shifts, on-call

  • Hours per Week: 36

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

  • Start Date: 3 weeks from submission/offer

  • Charting System: Cerner Millennium

  • Interview: Required

  • Shift Cancellation Policy: Facility may cancel 2 shifts per 13 weeks

  • Caseload: Acute hospital environment

Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality ultrasound exams including vascular and OB

  • Support acute-care imaging needs across multiple departments

  • Participate in on-call rotation, including overnight and grave shifts

  • Maintain equipment and ensure proper documentation

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

  • Provide patient-centered care and clear communication

Required Experience & Certifications
  • 2 years acute hospital ultrasound experience

  • Strong vascular and OB experience required

  • ARDMS certification required

  • BLS required

  • Completion of accredited ultrasound training program preferred

Weekly Pay Package: $2,166/week Breakdown:

  • Hourly Pay:

    • $23/hr × 24 hrs = $552

    • OT $34.50/hr × 12 hrs = $414

    • Total Taxable: $966/week

  • Weekly Stipends:

    • Lodging: $900/week

    • Meals/Incidentals: $300/week

    • Total Stipends: $1,200/week

The Ultrasound Technician performs a variety of specialized technical tasks utilizing high frequency ultrasound waves to assist with the detection of medical conditions or abnormalities by producing images of the inside of a patient’s body.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A certification from an accredited ultrasound school 
  • One year of experience as an ultrasound technician preferred.
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
