Job description

Financial Operations Analyst

Contract Length: 1 year
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Work Setup: On-Site

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Operations Analyst to join our team on a contingent basis. This role supports the accuracy and timeliness of daily financial operations by providing same-day reconciliation of accounting transactions, helping maintain well-controlled processes and reliable financial reporting.

Financial Operations Analyst Responsibilities

  • Monitor and process ACH activity, wire transfers, and credit card transactions, ensuring accurate accounting entries
  • Perform daily data entry and reconciliation in Workday and other bank accounting systems
  • Close General Ledger Transaction Processing Units (TPUs) daily and monitor settlement status
  • Research and resolve account discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Maintain subsidiary ledgers and allocation tables across multiple GL accounts
  • Ensure compliance with accounting checklists and established procedures
  • Support records management, including physical archiving and Iron Mountain coordination

Financial Operations Analyst Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years of experience in financial operations, accounting, or a related field
  • Proven experience with financial transaction processing and reconciliation
  • Proficiency in accounting systems, particularly Workday
  • Experience with ACH, wire transfers, credit card processing, and check handling
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet daily deadlines

Preferred (nice-to-have):

  • Familiarity with treasury operations and general ledger accounting
  • Prior experience in a Client Bank environment
  • Knowledge of records management practices
