Structural Design Engineer (3-5 Year EIT/PE - Life Sciences, Data Centers)

Location: Dallas, TX

Salary: $85,000 – $105,000 

About the Opportunity

A nationally recognized structural engineering firm with offices across major U.S. cities is seeking a Structural Design Engineer with at least two years of experience to join its Dallas office. The firm is known for delivering technically sophisticated projects across sectors including healthcare, commercial buildings, and data centers.

This role is ideal for an early-career engineer (EIT) with a passion for seismic design, a solid technical foundation, and a desire to grow within a supportive and dynamic team. Long-term leadership opportunities are available for high-performing individuals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform seismic analysis and design of structural systems for new and existing buildings

  • Develop structural drawings and details in collaboration with architects and senior engineers

  • Prepare engineering calculations and design documentation using a variety of tools and software

  • Support multiple projects across complex markets with increasing levels of responsibility

  • Participate in internal project reviews and technical discussions

  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and consultants

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required

  • Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred

  • EIT certification required; PE license is a plus

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in structural design, including seismic analysis

  • Proficiency with structural software such as RAM, RISA, ETABS, SAP2000, and Enercalc

  • Familiarity with REVIT and AutoCAD

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage time effectively

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $85,000 – $105,000 annually, based on experience and location

  • Health, Dental & Vision Insurance – Comprehensive coverage for employees

  • Profit Sharing – Annual bonus based on company performance

  • Vacation Time: 10 days paid vacation annually, prorated from start date

  • Sick Leave: 9 days per year

  • Hybrid schedule after 6 months of employment
