THE ROLE:
This dynamic, highly visible role drives product Quality & Reliability related data analysis presenting to higher management internally, and external customers to improve customer satisfaction and build customer confidence. Will collaborate with the Global Operations organization and key business units, engineering leadership, business operations, sales, and end customers. This job requires strong technical capability, a good understanding of server CPU technologies, and highly effective communication skills to debug systems-level issues from firmware level to applications level, working together as a team to resolve them to the satisfaction of our customers. In this role, you
will work seamlessly across internal development teams and our customers during critical issue escalations and drive issues to closure in time to meet customer satisfaction.
THE PERSON:
Demonstrated success working in product Quality and Reliability, with strong familiarity of customer interactions, Semiconductor IC Product Development, and project management.
The suitable candidate will drive all aspects of data management for AMD datacenter CPU products. This is a high visibility role for highly expert candidates.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Customer interface for quality & reliability related items.
• Lead multi-functional activities across design, platform, operations, and customer system bring-up and manufacturing to meet product quality and reliability requirements.
• Good ability to communicate technical results clearly and accurately, and drive issues to successful closure.
• Highly organized, prioritize, and balance multiple work streams to tight deadlines.
• Influencing Fab and OSAT suppliers to meet product quality requirements including NUDD (New,
Outstanding, Different, Difficult) for future technologies.
• Meet Customer Quality work per program achievements including customer interactions.
• Measure and improve outgoing product quality through product end-of-life.
• Maintaining robust Quality Processes & Quality Management Systems.
• Good oral and written communication capability
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
• Customer facing experience with ability to network, build relationships, and drive effective decision-making across multiple functions and levels within the organization.
• Comfortable dealing with customer quality issues that requires structured problem solving and effective communication skills.
• Experience in product quality, reliability, or product engineering, preferably in semiconductor industry. Board level experience is a huge plus.
• Good knowledge of server CPU and embedded architecture, Firmware (example, BIOS) settings, boot process, and BMC for hardware monitoring and management.
• Data analytics of manufacturing and customer data.
• Background with JMP for data analysis and ability to do data modeling/scripting is a plus.
• Experience with semiconductor manufacturing and test flow fab, bump, assembly, test
• Strong understanding of end-to-end system/component/process interactions
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or similar.
