    Job Overview

    We are seeking a dedicated professional to install, test, troubleshoot, replace, and maintain electrical and electronic systems in our water and wastewater treatment facilities. Your expertise will help ensure the smooth operation of our distribution and collection facilities, including wellfields, lift stations, tanks, and storm stations.

    Essential Functions
    • Convert facility controls to an updated SCADA system
    • Install and repair electrical systems and devices
    • Test and diagnose electrical failures and malfunctions
    • Ensure compliance with electrical codes
    • Review and prepare electrical diagrams
    • Maintain inventory and order materials
    • Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    • Comply with safety regulations and standard procedures
    • Work with medium voltage, rotating equipment, and hazardous chemicals
    • Calculate line loading for wire and equipment sizing
    • Prepare sketches for electrical layouts and installations
    • Interpret specifications, schematics, blueprints, and diagrams
    • Perform stand-by duty for emergency repairs
    Requirements
    • High School Diploma or GED with vocational/technical certification in electric work
    • Minimum of four years of journeyman-level experience
    • Journeyman Electrician Certificate from Broward County Central Examining Board or equivalent
    • Industrial experience with voltages up to 4,160 volts
    • Ability to lift, stoop, bend, crawl, kneel, and climb ladders up to 30 feet
    • Ability to work out of a bucket truck and at moderate heights
    • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
    Preferences
    • Additional experience or coursework in a job-related field
    • Experience with digital tools and asset management systems
