Job Summary
The CT Technologist performs a variety of diagnostic CT imaging procedures in a hospital setting under the direction of department leadership and in collaboration with radiologists. The technologist delivers safe, accurate imaging using age-specific criteria, provides excellent customer service to patients and families, and supports quality and performance improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Perform CT imaging procedures according to department protocols and physician orders, using appropriate radiation safety and age-specific techniques.
Collaborate closely with radiologists and other care team members to ensure high-quality diagnostic images and timely exam completion.
Serve as a customer service representative to patients, families, visitors, and medical staff, ensuring a positive and respectful experience.
Participate in quality control, performance improvement, and departmental initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and patient outcomes.
Act as a clinical and technical resource for other technologists and support staff.
Participate in call rotation and remain flexible with assignments and shifts to meet departmental staffing needs.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
California Radiologic Technologist license (CRT).
National Registered Technologist – Radiography (ARRT R).
Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association.
Ability to obtain ARRT – Computed Tomography (CT) certification within 1 year of hire.
