Sous la supervision de son gestionnaire, le candidat travaillerait en collaboration avec les equipes de conception et de developpement pour transferer la conception de nouveaux produits a differents fournisseurs pour la production. Leur role consiste a participer aux revues internes de conception, a travailler avec les concepteurs pour assurer la facilite de fabrication et d'inspection des produits, a s'assurer que les fournisseurs respectent les exigences de qualite de ZimmerCAS liees a la production et a la fabrication, telles que la validation des procedes speciaux (QI, OQ, PQ), assurer les moyens appropries de gestion des risques pendant la production (PFMEA) et valider les methodes d'inspection (TMV, Gage R&R). Le candidat sera egalement responsable du maintien de l'efficacite et de la qualite de la production des pieces existantes fabriquees chez les fournisseurs.

Plus precisement, le role consiste a :

Diriger le transfert de la production de nouveaux produits vers les sites des fournisseurs;
Participer au processus de selection des fournisseurs et diriger le transfert de la production d'un site a l'autre;
Visiter les fournisseurs sur place pour faciliter la recherche de solutions aux problemes de fabrication, la realisation des activites de transfert de production, le suivi de l'avancement de la production et l'atteinte des objectifs de qualite.
Developper des methodes d'inspection avec le fournisseur et valider lesdites methodes (Gage R&R) tant chez le fournisseur que chez ZimmerCAS;
S'assurer que le fournisseur applique la methode de gestion des risques de production appropriee et efficace;
Participer a l'amelioration continue des produits existants en prenant en charge les modifications aux specifications et en redigeant tous les documents lies a ces modifications;
Servir de point de contact entre les fournisseurs, le gestionnaire de projet, le representant de l'approvisionnement, l'equipe de la qualite et l'equipe de conception et de developpement;
Collaborer avec les autres ingenieurs de fabrication pour ameliorer les processus communs;
Participer a la definition et a l'amelioration continue des procedures internes et des instructions de travail liees aux activites de production;
Participer aux revues de conception avec le groupe de conception et proposer des methodes efficaces de fabrication et d'inspection
Examiner les conceptions pour assurer la faisabilite et la facilite de fabrication et d'inspection;
Executer le plan d'entretien de l'equipement utilise a l'interne.
Analyser les non-conformites des pieces et les plaintes des clients, et mettre en place des solutions pour eliminer les causes;

Excellentes competences en communication orale et ecrite en francais et en anglais
Volonte et disponibilite de voyager regulierement pour effectuer des visites de fournisseurs ou visiter d'autres sites de Zimmer Biomet;
Joueur d'equipe capable de travailler avec plusieurs equipes interfonctionnelles;

Atouts:

Si le candidat a une bonne connaissance pratique de l'usinage d'instruments metalliques et du moulage par injection plastique;
Si le candidat a de l'experience dans plusieurs procedes de fabrication (soudage, traitement thermique, passivation);
Si le candidat a de l'experience pratique en fabrication, en particulier avec le machinage et l'inspection.

Un diplome dans le domaine du genie (mecanique, manufacturier ou industriel);
3 a 5 ans d'experience dans un environnement de fabrication (idealement dans le domaine des instruments medicaux);
Experience de travail dans un environnement hautement reglemente en vertu de la norme ISO 13485 ou ISO 9001;
Experience dans la production d'appareils electroniques; Experience de travail avec des emballages steriles.
Experience en gestion de projets Agile; diriger les projets du debut a l'achevement, assurer l'alignement avec les objectifs d'affaires et le respect des echeanciers.
Bonne experience de travail avec des sous-contractants fournissant des biens et/ou des services;

Under the supervision of their manager, the candidate would work in collaboration with the design and development teams to transfer the design of new products to different suppliers for production. Their role consists of participating in internal design reviews, working with designers to ensure ease of manufacturability and inspection of the products, ensuring that the suppliers follow ZimmerCAS's quality requirements related to production and manufacturing, such as the validation of Special Processes (IQ, OQ, PQ), ensuring proper means of risk management during production (pFMEA) and validating the inspection methods (TMV, Gage R&R). The candidate will be equally responsible for maintaining the efficiency and quality of the production of existing parts being fabricated at the suppliers.

More specifically, the role consists of:

Leading the production transfer of new products to the suppliers' sites;
Participating in the supplier selection process and leading the production transfer from supplier site to supplier site;
Visiting suppliers onsite to facilitate finding solutions to manufacturing issues, performing production transfer activities, following up on production progress, and ensuring that quality objectives are met.
Developing inspection methods with the supplier and validating said methods (Gage R&R) both at the supplier site and internally at ZimmerCAS;
Ensuring the supplier applies the proper and effective risk management method for production (PFMEA);
Participating in the continuous improvement on the existing products by taking charge of spec modifications and drafting any documents related to these spec modifications.
Serving as the point of contact between the suppliers, project manager, sourcing representative, Quality team and the design and development team.
Collaborating with the other manufacturing engineers to improve common processes.
Participating in defining and continuously improving internal procedures and work instructions related to production activities.
Participating in design reviews with the design group and proposing effective manufacturing methods and inspection methods;
Reviewing designs to ensure feasibility and ease of manufacturing and inspection;
Executing the maintenance plan for the equipment used internally.
Analyzing part non-conformities and customer complaints, and implementing solutions to eliminate the root causes;

Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English
Willingness and availability to travel regularly to perform supplier visits or visit other Zimmer Biomet sites;
Team-player with the ability to work with multiple cross-functional teams;

We prefer:
If the candidate has a good working knowledge of the machining of metal instruments and plastic injection molding;
If the candidate has experience in multiple manufacturing processes (welding, heat treatment, passivation).
If the candidate has hands-on manufacturing experience, especially with Machining and inspections.

A degree in the field of engineering (mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial);
3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (ideally in the Medical Device domain);
Experience working in a highly regulated environment under ISO 13485 or ISO 9001.
Experience in the production of, Precision machining, GD&T, Manufacturing of medical devices, electronic devices; sterile packaging.
Experience in Agile project management; leading projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals, adherence to timelines.
Good working experience with suppliers providing subcontracting goods/services.
Meticulous with drafting documentation, and a capability to produce clear and concise reports, documents and protocols.
Powerful sense of ownership and organization skills with the capability of managing multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
