Key Responsibilities

In your capacity as an LMFT, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Delivering personalized therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families, tailored to meet diverse outpatient care needs.
• Conducting in-depth assessments to evaluate clients' mental health concerns and relationship dynamics, fostering personalized treatment plans that identify realistic and measurable goals.
• Employing family systems theory and systemic interventions to navigate complex relationship dynamics, enhance communication, and address family stressors.
• Providing prompt crisis intervention as needed, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients and their families.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation of client records, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with ethical standards.
• Empowering clients with effective communication strategies, conflict resolution skills, and coping techniques to nurture their emotional health and relational strengths.
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure the delivery of holistic care.
• Engaging in continuous professional development to stay abreast of current research and best practices in the field of marriage and family therapy.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants should possess the following:

• A valid marriage and family therapist license (LMFT) in Massachusetts or other relevant jurisdiction.
• A Master’s degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in a mental health setting.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and listening skills, essential for building rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• A commitment to maintaining ethical and confidential therapeutic practices.
• Ability to work independently while being an effective team player within a clinical environment.
• Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate diverse client needs.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in outpatient therapy services, specializing in marriage and family counseling, are highly preferred. Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and treatment approaches will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
