Work Environment

This position operates within a state-of-the-art outpatient treatment facility, emphasizing evidence-based and holistic approaches tailored for young adults aged 18 to 30. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating Group Therapy: Leading engaging group sessions that promote connection, shared experiences, and guided discussions.
  • Conducting Individual Therapy: Providing one-on-one counseling that encourages clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while developing effective coping strategies.
  • Creating Treatment Plans: Collaborating with clients to develop individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans that cater to their unique needs and objectives.
  • Monitoring Progress: Assessing client progress using various assessment tools, feedback methods, and personal interactions to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care, including regular communication and consultation on complex cases.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role specifically focuses on young adults aged 18 to 30 years old, addressing a range of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment issues. You will utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques alongside holistic practices to support clients in navigating their mental health journeys effectively.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
  • Valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential in the state of Texas.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build therapeutic relationships with clients and families.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems and case management software is preferred.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with young adults in a mental health setting is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities appropriate for this age group, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
  • Previous experience in an outpatient treatment environment is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 85,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
