Job description

Ecommerce Marketplace Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Ecommerce Marketplace Specialist to support the growth and day-to-day management of our marketplace business across Amazon, Walmart, eBay, and other ecommerce channels. Amazon will be a primary focus of this role, but the ideal candidate has hands-on experience working across multiple marketplaces and understands the unique listing requirements, advertising platforms, catalog structures, and operational processes associated with each channel.

This is a hands-on role for a mid-level specialist who can work independently, solve problems, identify opportunities for improvement, and help drive marketplace growth through effective catalog management, content optimization, advertising execution, and operational excellence.
This is an onsite position in our Bolingbrook, Illinois facility.

As a Marketplace Specialist, you will

  • Create, optimize, and maintain product listings across Amazon, Walmart, eBay, and other ecommerce channels
  • Improve titles, bullet points, descriptions, backend keywords, attributes, category mapping, and marketplace-specific content
  • Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis to improve product discoverability and marketplace performance
  • Manage and optimize Amazon advertising campaigns, including Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and other marketplace advertising opportunities
  • Monitor and optimize marketplace advertising performance, including ROAS, ACOS, TACOS, CTR, conversion rate, and overall profitability
  • Create and maintain product variations, parent-child relationships, bundles, and marketplace-specific catalog structures
  • Manage catalog uploads, flat files, inventory feeds, listing updates, and marketplace merchandising activities
  • Execute marketplace promotions, coupons, deals, and seasonal campaigns across supported marketplaces
  • Troubleshoot listing suppression, catalog errors, content issues, and marketplace compliance concerns
  • Monitor marketplace account health, listing quality, and operational performance to identify and resolve issues impacting sales
  • Partner with creative, merchandising, product, customer service, and operations teams to support marketplace initiatives and resolve channel-specific issues
  • Coordinate the development and maintenance of marketplace content, including enhanced content, imagery, video, and brand assets
  • Analyze marketplace performance trends and provide recommendations to improve traffic, conversion, profitability, and customer acquisition
  • Identify opportunities to expand assortment, improve discoverability, and grow marketplace revenue through merchandising, content, advertising, and promotional initiatives
  • Provide regular reporting and insights on marketplace performance, opportunities, and risks
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of hands-on ecommerce marketplace experience
  • Strong experience working within Amazon Seller Central and/or Vendor Central
  • Experience managing product listings and catalogs across Amazon and at least one additional marketplace such as Walmart, eBay, etc.
  • Understanding of marketplace SEO, catalog management, content optimization, and advertising best practices
  • Experience managing multiple SKUs, product categories, and marketplace catalogs
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and identify actionable opportunities
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Authorized to work in the United States


Preferred

  • Experience working with branded consumer products
  • Experience with inventory feed management, marketplace integrations, or multichannel commerce platforms
  • Familiarity with marketplace research, advertising, feed management, and analytics tools
  • Experience creating and optimizing enhanced content, A+ Content, storefronts, or marketplace brand experiences
  • Familiarity with marketplace policies, account health management, and operational performance standards
  • Experience supporting marketplace promotional planning and execution
  • Experience working within ecommerce, retail, or direct-to-consumer organizations
