We're hiring a: Maintenance Manager
Columbia, MO
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians and mechanics while ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, develop, and hold accountable a team of Maintenance Technicians and mechanics.
- Plan and prioritize daily maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime.
- Drive preventive and predictive maintenance strategies using CMMS.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of equipment failures.
- Partner with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and HS&E to improve equipment reliability and safety.
- Monitor maintenance KPIs including uptime, PM completion, MTTR, and work order backlog.
- Support capital projects, equipment installations, and process improvements.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and maintenance documentation.
- Promote Watlow Values, leadership competencies, and continuous improvement.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Conduct performance coaching, training, and development.
- Support staffing, onboarding, scheduling, and succession planning.
- Lead daily tier meetings and communicate priorities.
- Ensure compliance with Watlow policies.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
- 2+ years of leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and automation systems.
- Experience with CMMS and Lean/continuous improvement preferred.
