Work Environment

This role operates in a home care setting, allowing you to work closely with patients one-on-one in their familiar environments. You will have the flexibility of managing your schedule while adhering to full-time commitments from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. The nature of home care allows physical therapists to observe patients in their daily routines, which can significantly enhance personalized care strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical evaluations to assess patients' needs, capabilities, and conditions, using a variety of assessment tools and techniques.
• Develop tailored treatment plans aimed at achieving specific rehabilitation goals and improving overall patient health.
• Conduct therapeutic exercises and interventions designed to promote mobility and strength, alongside educating patients and their families on proper techniques to follow.
• Document and track patient progress meticulously, ensuring accurate records that detail treatment plans and adjustments based on the patient's evolving needs.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, nurses, and other allied health professionals to provide comprehensive treatment and support to patients.
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures, ensuring the well-being of both patients and staff during all interactions.
• Provide education to patients regarding injury prevention and self-care methods to minimize the risk of future injuries.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Spin Physical Therapy, you will work predominantly with patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions, including but not limited to orthopedic issues, neurological disorders, and age-related mobility challenges. Your direct engagement will allow you to tailor rehabilitation strategies effectively and foster strong therapeutic relationships that emphasize healing and empowerment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current licensed Physical Therapist (PT) certification in the state of New Jersey.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Current CPR certification and knowledge of advanced life support protocols.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical or home care setting, with hands-on experience in developing patient-centered treatment plans.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and communication.
• Experience in utilizing outcome assessments and measuring progress effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
