Job description

Position Overview

Synergy Counseling is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in a full-time or part-time remote capacity. This role focuses on providing essential therapy and support to children with disabilities or developmental delays and their families. As an LCSW, you will play a crucial role in conducting evaluations, creating Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), and ensuring that families receive the necessary resources and support to promote healthy child development.

About the Organization

At Synergy Counseling, we are committed to empowering marginalized populations and fostering an inclusive environment both for those we serve and our employees. Based in Jersey City, New Jersey, our mission is to help families realize their full potential. We provide comprehensive support through various programs, emphasizing diversity, equity, and the importance of authentic self-expression in the workplace. We value the unique experiences of every employee and believe that a diverse workforce enhances our effectiveness in achieving our goals.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility in balancing personal and professional responsibilities. Despite being a remote role, you will collaborate closely with a dedicated team of professionals who are equally passionate about early childhood developmental support. Regular virtual meetings and check-ins ensure a cohesive work environment where your contributions are valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of children to understand developmental needs and challenges.
  • Participate actively in the development and implementation of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) to provide tailored support.
  • Monitor progress and outcomes of children and families as a vital team member, ensuring that goals are met.
  • Provide guidance and support to families, helping them understand their child's development and addressing concerns using evidence-based practices.
  • Administer evaluations in compliance with all Federal and State regulations to maintain high standards of care.
  • Utilize natural environment teaching strategies to enhance children's learning and development in everyday settings.
  • Build strong rapport with children and their families, fostering trust and promoting a supportive environment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The children and families you will work with are part of early intervention programs designed to support the youngest members of our community—infants and toddlers with disabilities or developmental delays. Your compassionate support and professional expertise will aid these children in developing vital physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and communication skills during their formative years.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Social Work is required.
  • Current licensing as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) by the Department of Public Health.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary for occasional in-person engagements.
  • Ability to demonstrate adaptability to diverse learning styles and treatment plans for each child.
Preferred Experience
  • At least one year of experience working in early intervention settings with children and families.
  • Commitment to practicing Natural Learning Environment Practices that support holistic child development.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, enhancing our ability to serve diverse communities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in organizing and managing time effectively within a remote work environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with families and team members.
Compensation and Benefits

The role of LCSW at Synergy Counseling offers an annual salary range of $70,000 to $85,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, our robust benefits package includes:

  • Sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance to support your wellbeing.
  • A 401(k) plan with company matching contributions.
  • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) policy, including sick time pay.
  • Life insurance and profit-sharing opportunities that ensure your future is protected.
  • Employee discounts at various vendors and flexible spending accounts.
  • Tuition reimbursement to facilitate your continued education and professional development.
  • Flexible schedules that enable work-life balance and personal fulfillment.
  • Referral bonuses to recognize your efforts in helping us find great talent.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Synergy Counseling, we believe in investing in our employees' professional development. LCSWs will have opportunities for continued education, attending workshops, and collaboration with professionals specializing in child development, thereby enhancing your skills and career trajectory. As we expand our reach and services, there is potential for leadership roles and further specialization within the practice.

Why Join Our Team

Becoming part of Synergy Counseling means joining a community that values collaboration, diversity, and personal growth. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and their families while working in an environment that encourages innovation, integrity, and a commitment to equity. Your expertise and passion will help us achieve our mission of empowering those we serve.
