Veterans Rethink Counselling, LLC is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Mental Health Counselor to join our psychiatric outpatient office located in Roseville, California. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their needs and establish individual treatment goals, addressing various aspects of their lives impacted by substance use.
  • Design and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing techniques.
  • Facilitate individual counseling sessions, focusing on exploring underlying issues related to addiction and promoting recovery-focused strategies.
  • Organize and lead group therapy sessions that create a supportive atmosphere for individuals in recovery, providing them with peer interaction and reinforcement.
  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare providers to deliver coordinated care, discussing treatment updates and progress at regular intervals.
  • Provide crisis intervention when necessary, offering immediate support and guidance in high-pressure situations related to substance use emergencies.
  • Educate patients and their families about the nature of addiction, effective recovery strategies, and available community resources to enhance their support networks.
  • Maintain precise and confidential documentation that meets all legal, ethical, and clinical standards, ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations and policies.
  • Engage actively in team meetings and professional development opportunities to remain current with best practices in addiction treatment and mental health care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The patient population served by Veterans Rethink Counselling primarily includes individuals battling substance use disorders. As a counselor, you will work closely with adult patients from diverse backgrounds who may also be facing co-occurring mental health challenges. Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.

  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California is mandatory.
  • In-depth knowledge of substance use disorders, evidence-based treatment models, and recovery-oriented care principles.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
