Job description

Are you a natural organizer with a passion for retail and delivering outstanding customer experiences? We're looking for a Retail Assistant Department Lead to play a key role in driving sales floor success and supporting a high-performing team.

In this dynamic position, you'll partner closely with the Department Supervisor to keep daily operations running smoothly-from merchandising and inventory control to team coordination and customer engagement. What You'll Do

  • Train new staff on operational and customer service procedures, retail systems and merchandising plans within assigned area.
  • Assume the responsibility of Floor Manager in the absence of the Department Team Leader, which can include opening and closing of the store (key holder)
  • Ability to develop and recommend a plan of action with regard to merchandising product based on sales reports and information.
  • Be the driving force behind the replenishment process and ensure goods get out on the floor remerchandised and are merchandised appropriately.
  • Run a computer-based POS system and be able to train others on that system as well as basic trouble shooting.
  • Review product moves with the Department Team Leader within assigned departments
  • Determine products that need appropriate signs and action accordingly using internal and external materials.
  • Meet or exceed operational and sales goals for the department
