Express Employment Professionals seeking Direct Hire candidates for a Construction company in Louisville, KY for Safety Manager position.
Safety Manager will beresponsible for supporting the organization’s Occupational Health,
Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management System through the implementation,
administration, monitoring, and continuous improvement of safety programs, policies,
procedures, and regulatory compliance initiatives. The Safety Manager serves as a field
and operational resource to management, supervisors, foremen, and employees to reduce
workplace injuries, illnesses, property damage, environmental incidents, and regulatory
exposure while promoting a positive safety culture.
The Safety Manager reports to the Director of Safety, Corporate Safety Manager,
Operations Manager, or designated executive leadership and exercises no direct authority
over production operations except when imminent danger conditions exist.
Essential Responsibilities
1. Regulatory Compliance
• Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local safety
regulations.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Construction Standards.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910 General Industry Standards where
applicable.
• Stay informed of changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Assist management with regulatory inspections, citations, corrective actions, and
compliance documentation.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry consensus standards and customer
requirements.
