Job description

Location: Hackensack, NJ (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Client: Vantage Point Consulting – on behalf of a leading professional services firm

Overview:
Vantage Point Consulting is seeking a Help Desk Technician to support our client's Hackensack, New Jersey office. The ideal candidate will be an experienced IT support professional with strong customer service skills and a background in hardware, software, and user support within a professional environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and provide hands-on technology support in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, and mobile devices.
  • Support and troubleshoot video conferences using Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
  • Maintain and track IT equipment inventory.
  • Document support activity and resolutions in the Firm's ticketing system.
  • Follow established help desk procedures and maintain strong documentation discipline.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and effective problem resolution.
  • Periodically travel to other firm offices to provide onsite support.
  • Participate in office buildouts and expansions as needed.
  • Provide occasional shift coverage or extended hours support when required.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows 11 and Microsoft 365, particularly Outlook and Word.
  • Experience with iManage document management system strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field—or equivalent work experience.
