Our mission is to foster resilience and healing through compassionate and effective therapeutic interventions. We pride ourselves on our inclusive approach, offering services that cater to various demographics, including underserved communities. Our focus on evidence-based practices and continuous improvement allows us to significantly impact the lives of those we serve.

Work Environment

This position operates in a fully remote setting, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance. You will be part of a collaborative team that values open communication and professional growth. Regular virtual meetings and ongoing training ensure that you remain connected with your colleagues and are continually advancing your skills. Our focus on a healthy work environment empowers our therapists to deliver the highest quality of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to determine the severity, frequency, and impact of mood disorder symptoms in clients, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their individual needs.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to meet the specific goals and preferences of each client.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that foster open communication and healing, creating a safe space for clients to explore their experiences and emotions.
  • Provide continuous support and education to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment pathways, and effective self-care strategies to promote recovery.
  • Monitor client progress meticulously, making timely adjustments to treatment plans as required to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Work in collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care that addresses the holistic needs of our clients.
  • Stay current with the latest research and advancements in the field of mood disorders to enhance therapeutic approaches and treatment efficacy.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring the integrity of client records.
  • Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development workshops to further enhance your clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Advocate for clients’ needs within the mental health space, working to reduce stigma and improve access to necessary resources and support.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele primarily consists of individuals battling mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Additionally, we provide support to marginalized groups including homeless individuals, refugees, and victims of domestic violence. As a LMFT at Valor Therapy Center, you will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on these resilient individuals, guiding them towards recovery and empowerment.

Qualifications
  • A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients, enabling a strong therapeutic alliance.
  • A strong sense of empathy, patience, and a nonjudgmental approach to effectively support clients through their challenges.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle caseloads effectively while maintaining quality care.
Preferred Experience

While a Master’s degree and a current LMFT license are required, we value experience in providing therapy to diverse populations, particularly those facing societal challenges. Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic practices and participation in continuing education opportunities will be considered a significant asset.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
  • A comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid time off, and a retirement plan.
  • Continuous education and professional development opportunities geared towards addiction counseling and other specialties.
  • A supportive and collaborative workplace culture that encourages personal and professional growth.
  • The chance to profoundly influence clients' lives, supporting their journeys towards long-term recovery and mental wellness.
  • Access to materials and ongoing research in the field of mental health treatment.
