What We're Looking For

Amazing Shift Leaders who set the tone, lead by example and make every guest feel like they belong. In this role, you'll:

  • Make every guest feel welcome with responsive, friendly and genuine service
  • Lead by example and bring Urbane Cafe's values to life every shift
  • Keep operations running smoothly — right person, right place, right time
  • Motivate your team to show up and perform at their best
  • Manage breaks so every team member gets what they're owed, on time
  • Delegate tasks fairly while still pulling your own weight
  • Treat every team member with dignity, consistency and respect
  • Follow up on delegated tasks and hold the standard

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Great communication and people skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 35 lbs

Our Story

Urbane Cafe is a family-owned company founded by Tom Holt, with locations across Southern California and Nevada — and more on the way. Every day, we make our focaccia dough from scratch and bake it fresh in open-hearth ovens, right in front of our guests. We craft gourmet sandwiches, farm fresh salads and unique bowls using refined local ingredients — all served with a smile in a warm, vibrant atmosphere.

Requirements:
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and written – Bilingual a plus
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in service and food, generally involving at least one year of front-of-the house operations leadership
  • Possess excellent basic math skills and the ability to operate a POS system.
  • Able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
