ABOUT THE BRAND
Sadie's restaurant and garden bar in New York City's Seaport, is bringing New American comfort food, an indoor-outdoor bar experience, and year-round programming to one of Lower Manhattan's most vibrant waterfront neighborhoods.
About The Role:
The Bar Managerplays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the establishment. With a primary focus on delivering a hospitable experience for guests and fostering a positive environment for staff, this role will oversee day-to-day operations, set-up, opening, and closing procedures.
What You Will Do
Ensure the brand and experience align with the concept vision
Supervising and enhancing the customer experience at the bar, ensuring exceptional service delivery
Ensuring that set-up, opening, and closing procedures are followed tomaintainoperational excellence
Providing hands-on support to bartenders during peak hours,assistingwith customer service and drink preparation
Supervising staff on a day-to-day basis,monitoringperformance, and handling any guest inquiries; escalating issues accordingly
Handling and supporting administrative duties such as ordering, scheduling, inventory management, waste control, payroll, and other related tasks
Conduct regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies to management
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including back of house areas
Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
Consistently report to scheduled shifts on time and ready to work in proper uniform
Operate ethically to protect the image of the company
Performs other duties and responsibilities asrequiredor requested
About You:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant environment
Minimum 1 year of management or supervisory experience
Extensive knowledge of bar lifecycles and setup, spirits, cocktail ingredients, and garnishes
Familiarity with alcohol service and food safety standards, including DOH protocols
Knowledge of alcohol service and food safety standards
Strong communicationand leadership skills
Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
High standardsfor cleanliness of workspace and service areas
Professional demeanor, polished appearance with the ability to exceed guest's expectations
Ability to work in an ever-changing environment

Strong work ethic and customer-focused approach

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, andholidays
Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
Ability tomaintainregular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10 - 30 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds on a regular (or occasional basis).
Moving about on foot toaccomplishtasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the work area and property. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder heightfrequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment

Compensationrange:$70,000 - $85,000
