Position Summary
The Department of Pediatrics in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo (UB) and Golisano Children's Hospital (GCH) of Buffalo is actively recruiting for a Pediatric Intensivist with additional training and experience in Cardiac Critical Care to join our team of 10 intensivists and 5 APPS to care for critically ill children at Golisano Children's Hospital of Buffalo. Rank will commensurate with experience.
This candidate will have additional training and/or experience in Cardiac Critical Care, ideally with completion of a Cardiac Intensive Care fellowship or Cardiology fellowship. The successful candidate will work closely with our Pediatric Cardiologists at UB/UBMD and Pediatric Cardiology Associates of Western New York, LLC.
Once joining our team, this faculty will participate in strategic planning and execution of expansion of our Cardiac-Critical Care and Cardiac Surgical Program and will be involved with Cardiology focused Simulation, Education and quality initiatives and Cardiac Critical Care Sedation Services. Faculty duties will also include education and support of our APP team, and supervision of PICU fellows, pediatric residents and medical students from Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Ideal candidates will have some excellent clinical, teaching and communication skills, as well as interest in scholarly and quality improvement initiatives. Protected time and resources will be available.

Minimum Qualifications
  • MD, DO, or equivalent degree
  • Board-certified in Pediatrics and BC/BE Pediatric Critical Care

Preferred Qualifications
  • Significant experience in Cardiac Intensive care and/or completion of Cardiac Intensive Care Fellowship or Cardiology fellowship.
