Work Environment

This position is remote, allowing you to provide therapeutic services from your chosen workspace while also having access to our outpatient office facilities in Annapolis for in-person sessions when needed. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to identify their therapeutic needs and develop tailored treatment plans that promote healing and growth.
• Deliver individual, couple, and family counseling utilizing evidence-based therapy techniques designed to support mental health and improve family dynamics.
• Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and confidential documentation regarding client progress, treatment plans, and outcomes.
• Stay current with best practices and innovations in mental health by participating in professional development training and seminars.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The successful candidate will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals facing struggles with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions. Qualifications

• A Master's degree or Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy (or a related field) is essential to meet the qualifications for this role.
• Must hold an active Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license in the state of Maryland.
• Demonstrated experience in applying evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems Therapy, or Solution-Focused Therapy, is necessary.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are critical for building rapport with clients and collaborating with other professionals effectively.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, additional certifications or specialties in areas such as trauma-informed care, child and adolescent therapy, or substance abuse counseling are highly desirable. Candidates with experience working in outpatient settings will be favored, along with those who have a proven track record in client engagement and retention.

Compensation and Benefits

Understanding Minds, LLC offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
