Work Environment

This role offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to manage your schedule while remaining connected to a supportive team. Our operating hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, which helps maintain a healthy work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Understanding Minds, LLC, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate the needs of clients and developing individualized therapy plans tailored to their goals.
• Facilitating therapy sessions for individuals, couples, and families, utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities grounded in evidence-based practices.
• Maintaining detailed documentation of therapy sessions while adhering to confidentiality and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Engaging in ongoing professional development and training, thereby continually enhancing your expertise and clinical skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this position, you will work with a diverse client population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a myriad of challenges such as relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Your approach will be client-centered, focusing on empowering clients to identify their strengths and overcome barriers to achieving healthier relationships and fulfilling lives.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must possess:

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• A valid LMFT license in the state of Maryland.
• A strong understanding of evidence-based clinical practices and the ability to implement them effectively in a therapeutic setting.
• Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

We encourage candidates with at least two years of post-graduate experience in a clinical setting, particularly those who have worked in community mental health, to apply. Any experience with trauma-informed care or specific therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) will be regarded as a significant advantage.

Compensation and Benefits
