    Schedule: Full Time
    Job Type: Hybrid
    Salary Type: Hourly
    Req #: 2719
    About the Role
Uber Freight is seeking a Logistics Specialist III to support transportation operations for a key customer account, with a primary focus on rail operations. While the broader team manages the customer's full transportation network - including over-the-road freight - this role will primarily support the rail side of the operation and help ensure freight moves efficiently across the network.
In this role, you'll work closely with customers, railroads, carriers, shipping sites, and internal teams to manage shipment activity, resolve issues, and provide operational support throughout the transportation lifecycle. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working in a fast-paced environment, and building strong working relationships across multiple partners.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, customer-focused, and comfortable managing a high volume of communication and operational tasks throughout the day.
This position follows a hybrid schedule based out of our Exton, PA office, working onsite Tuesday through Thursday and remotely Monday and Friday.
    What You'll Do
    • Support day-to-day rail transportation operations to ensure freight moves efficiently and on schedule
    • Coordinate with customers, railroads, carriers, shipping sites, and internal teams to resolve shipment and service-related issues
    • Support transportation operations across multiple freight modes while serving as the primary operational support for rail movements
    • Build and maintain strong working relationships with railroads, carriers, and customers through professional and timely communication
    • Follow and execute customer standard operating procedures (SOPs)
    • Assist with resolving system errors, billing discrepancies, and shipment exceptions by partnering with railroads and carriers
    • Monitor shipment activity and operational KPIs while identifying trends or service concerns
    • Help resolve operational issues between customers, carriers, rail providers, and internal teams
    • Maintain accurate shipment updates, operational records, and system documentation
    • Identify process improvement opportunities and communicate operational gaps when identified
    • Manage a high volume of emails, shipment updates, and operational communication while prioritizing urgent requests

    Basic Qualifications
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent
    • 2+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain operations; or a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
    • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace
    • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced operational environment

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
    • Rail and/or intermodal transportation experience
    • Experience supporting chemical, gas, bulk, or specialized freight operations preferred
    • Experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
