You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the well-being of your clients while working within a supportive and collaborative environment.

About the Organization

Turning Point Psychotherapy Center is a community-focused health clinic located in Tallahassee, Florida. We are committed to delivering comprehensive mental health services to our diverse patient population. Work Environment

As a remote role, this position allows for a flexible work environment while providing you with the resources necessary to focus on patient care. Operating from home does not compromise the collaborative culture; continuous virtual meetings and team check-ins foster a sense of community among staff members. Our team is dedicated to streamlined workflows, combining technology with compassionate care, ensuring that our clinical staff can make meaningful connections with patients efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver psychotherapy and evidence-based mental health services to patients managing conditions such as anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
  • Conduct detailed mental health assessments focusing on emotional, behavioral, and social functioning to guide treatment interventions.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans that align with best practices in mental health care and are respectful of patients' cultural backgrounds.
  • Regularly monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies based on clinical assessments and feedback from multi-disciplinary healthcare professionals.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community support resources.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines while maintaining confidentiality and informed consent throughout the therapeutic process.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of patients, addressing mental health issues that affect adults and adolescents. Our clinic serves individuals from various backgrounds, each facing unique challenges that require an understanding of cultural and social factors. Your expertise will directly contribute to patient empowerment, increasing their ability to navigate life’s challenges and achieve personal growth.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Florida.
  • At least two years of experience providing psychotherapy and mental health services in a clinical setting.
  • Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to build trusting relationships with patients and foster a collaborative environment with healthcare teams.
  • Strong clinical skills, particularly in conducting mental health assessments and crafting tailored treatment plans based on empirical evidence.
  • Proficient in using electronic health records (EHRs) and healthcare software to manage patient data and coordinate overall care.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various mental health conditions and effective treatment modalities.
  • Commitment to upholding confidentiality and practicing within ethical and professional standards.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience is required, candidates with additional experience in community mental health settings or specialized training in trauma-informed care will be preferred. Familiarity with contemporary therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is also advantageous.
