Job description

Role Name: Card Test Lead and Test Engineer
Location: Cincinnati Hybrid
Contract to hire: possibility of hire after 3 months

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Domain Expertise:
• Extensive experience in the Cards & Payments domain, with a strong focus on credit card platforms.
• In-depth understanding of end-to-end card functionalities including:
o Card origination
o Product changes
o Fraud transfers
o Payment allocation
o Fees and financial charges
• Hands-on experience with TSYS-TS2 or similar card processing platforms.
• Proven success in credit card migration testing, including data validation and reconciliation.
• Familiarity with payment networks (., MasterCard, etc.) and transaction processing flows.
Testing Leadership:
• Ability to lead and manage comprehensive testing efforts for credit card migration projects.
• Define and execute test strategies across functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) phases.
• Collaborate effectively with business analysts, developers, and third-party vendors to ensure complete test coverage.
• Validate critical card lifecycle processes such as issuance, authorization, transaction posting, and settlement.
• Oversee defect management, including triage, root cause analysis, and resolution tracking.
• Ensure adherence to PCI-DSS and other relevant compliance standards.
• Document test artifacts including test plans, test cases, execution reports, and defect logs to ensure traceability and audit readiness.
Tools & Communication:
• Proficient in test management tools like JIRA, HP ALM, or equivalent platforms.
• Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Capable of mentoring and guiding junior testers and offshore teams to maintain quality and consistency.
