This role is uniquely designed for a professional who thrives in dynamic environments, offering the opportunity to work across multiple orthopedic outpatient clinics in Nevada. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality care, enhancing patient outcomes, and contributing to a culture of collaboration and excellence in physical therapy.

About the Organization

True North Medical Institute is committed to providing exceptional rehabilitative care tailored to the needs of our diverse patient population. Our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center, located in beautiful Boulder City, Nevada, is dedicated to fostering recovery and improving quality of life through innovative treatments. Our team consists of highly skilled professionals who are passionate about their work and continuously strive for excellence. We believe in a collaborative approach, working in tandem with patients and their families to achieve optimal recovery outcomes.

Work Environment

As a Floater Physical Therapist, you will have the flexibility to work onsite at various orthopedic outpatient clinics throughout Nevada. This role demands an individual who is not only a skilled clinician but also possesses the ability to adapt quickly to different team dynamics and clinic workflows. Your daily schedule will typically run from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, enabling you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while delivering exceptional care across our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver individualized, patient-centered physical therapy treatments across various clinic locations, ensuring adherence to established best practices and protocols.
  • Efficiently adapt to different electronic medical record (EMR) systems and clinic workflows to maintain seamless operations during your assignments.
  • Fulfill staffing gaps by covering for fellow Physical Therapists during their absences, including vacation periods or at times of peak patient volume.
  • Engage in collaborative discussions with referring physicians, clinic directors, and interdisciplinary teams to develop tailored rehabilitation plans that embody each patient’s unique needs.
  • Participate in system-wide meetings and continuing education sessions to enhance your professional growth and stay updated on the latest industry practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a wide range of patients, primarily focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain. Each day presents the chance to positively impact diverse demographics, allowing you to refine your skills in handling various patient needs and treatment paths. Your efforts will directly contribute to improved mobility, pain reduction, and overall rehabilitation success for the patients you serve.

Qualifications
  • A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Nevada.
  • Exceptional clinical reasoning skills combined with strong adaptability and interpersonal capabilities.
  • A willingness to commute between multiple clinic sites; specific travel radius details will be discussed during the interview process.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based care and demonstrating a passion for patient rehabilitation.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical practice, particularly in orthopedic or sports therapy settings.
  • Experience with various EMR systems to allow for seamless integration into our workflows.
  • Interest in pursuing clinical specialty certifications such as Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS).
  • Demonstrated experience in community engagement or outreach efforts within the rehabilitation field.
Compensation and Benefits

At True North Medical Institute, we offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience, along with reimbursement for mileage and travel expenses incurred while commuting between clinics. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Full health, dental, and vision insurance plans to maintain your well-being.
  • A 401(k) plan with employer matching to support your long-term financial goals.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) policies to ensure work-life balance.
  • Continuing education allowances to further your professional development and skills.
  • Opportunities for CEU support and cross-clinic mentorship.
  • The potential to transition into a permanent clinic location as your career progresses.
Career Growth Opportunities

We believe in empowering our employees to pursue their professional development. With a commitment to mentorship and continuing education, our team supports your career aspirations. As a floater, you will have the chance to learn diverse therapeutic techniques and treatment modalities, opening pathways for advancement within our organization. There is also the possibility of transitioning to a stable position in one of our clinics as you establish connections and expertise in specific areas.
