Job description

The Town Pump Hotel Group is looking for a motivated and outgoing Hotel Porter, who will model our mission statement "Genuine Hospitality from genuine people committed to providing comfort and service." Town Pump is a growing company, with ever-increasing opportunities for career growth.
As a Hotel Porter, you will:
  • Ensure the best possible experience for each guest, within the framework of Town Pump operating guidelines. Display a high degree of work ethic and pride in workmanship.
  • Complete all required company and brand-specific training and/or certifications in a timely manner.
  • Always follow Town Pump's grooming and appearance guidelines and wear a uniform and nametag while on shift.
  • Ensure exterior building and grounds are clean and clear by removing trash and debris, as well as removing weather-related hazards such as snow, ice, and other debris.
  • Gather linens from guest rooms for housekeeping staff and assist room attendants with cleaning of rooms as needed.
  • Ensure all equipment, tools, and inventory stock are always secure.
  • Practice safe working conditions under Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines to include Bloodborne Pathogens.
  • May be required to perform duties in other departments, as needed, such as cross-training with the front desk and housekeeping.
  • Comply with Town Pump expectations for the confidentiality of guest and company information.
  • Complete tasks and assignments on the daily Porter Checklist
  • Perform duties to ensure common areas are cleaned, ensure the best possible experience for each guest, and to Town Pump and brand operational standards.
  • Have knowledge of general housekeeping and recordkeeping, ability to comprehend oral and written instructions, correspondence, and memos.
