Position Overview

Touchstone Health Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Front Royal, Virginia. This full-time position requires an onsite presence to provide comprehensive care to patients in the comfort of their homes through our home care facility. The successful candidate will be instrumental in examining, evaluating, and designing individualized treatment plans for patients facing functional limitations and disabilities, all while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and service.

Work Environment

Your primary work environment will involve visiting patients in their homes in Front Royal, giving you the opportunity to foster meaningful relationships and directly impact their recovery journey. You will be part of an interdisciplinary treatment team, collaborating closely with physicians, healthcare providers, and support staff to enhance patient outcomes. Working 40 hours a week with varying weekends will allow for a dynamic schedule that meets both the patient and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist with Touchstone Health Therapy, you will:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their functional capabilities and limitations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect patients' specific needs and rehabilitation goals.
  • Provide consultations to healthcare providers regarding patients' progress and treatment plans throughout the continuum of care.
  • Adhere to established customer service standards while interacting with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Continuously re-evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of evaluation and treatment sessions, including charges for services to comply with all applicable regulations.
  • Supervise and mentor assigned support staff, including Physical Therapy Assistants and aides, ensuring effective delivery of care.
  • Participate in community outreach initiatives and contribute to program development and marketing strategies.
  • Attend regular staff meetings, complete required continuing education, and actively engage in personal development to stay current in best practices.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive care and treatment planning, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of patient progress.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clientele will primarily consist of patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your approach will be personalized, addressing individual needs and involving their families in the treatment and discharge planning process, fostering a holistic healing environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a preference for candidates who have obtained a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
  • A valid State License in Physical Therapy.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and word processing software.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of clinical experience is preferred, we value a commitment to personal growth, effective communication abilities, and a readiness to collaborate with diverse teams as essential qualities for this role. Experience in home care settings is a notable advantage.

Compensation and Benefits
