Seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist with strong Workday Payroll expertise to support accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for U.S. and Canadian employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile payroll across multiple pay frequencies, ensuring accurate gross-to-net calculations, taxes, deductions, garnishments, and special payments.
• Administer payroll activities within Workday, including troubleshooting, testing, system validation, and process improvements.
• Research and resolve complex payroll discrepancies and customer inquiries, providing root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Reconcile data from timekeeping, HR systems, third-party interfaces, and manual inputs.
• Process off-cycle payments, reversals, adjustments, voids, stop payments, bonuses, merit increases, and other special payroll transactions.
• Ensure payroll practices comply with applicable U.S. and Canadian federal, state/provincial, and local regulations.
• Support payroll audits, year-end activities, system upgrades, implementations, and testing
• Maintain confidential employee and payroll information while ensuring appropriate controls and approvals are followed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive payroll experience, preferably supporting complex/multi-entity payroll.
• Strong Workday HCM and Payroll experience; implementation and configuration experience highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of U.S. payroll concepts, taxes, deductions, garnishments, and compliance
