Supported Employment Specialist

Location: Parker, CO

Help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities build confidence, succeed in the workplace, and maintain meaningful employment in their community.




About the Role

To The Rescue is seeking a Supported Employment Specialist to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities find success in community employment. In this role, you'll provide one-on-one job coaching, workplace support, and guidance that helps individuals build confidence, develop independence, and maintain meaningful employment.




Key ResponsibilitiesEmployment Support
  • Provide on-site job coaching and workplace support

  • Assist members with learning job duties and meeting employer expectations

  • Support workplace communication, accommodations, scheduling, and time-off requests

  • Encourage increasing independence while providing individualized support

Member Support & Documentation
  • Follow individualized service plans and employment goals

  • Complete required documentation accurately and on time

  • Monitor member well-being and respond appropriately to changing support needs

  • Provide direct support based on each individual's plan of care, including medication administration when required

Collaboration & Community Engagement
  • Build positive relationships with employers, members, families, and community partners

  • Communicate regularly with internal teams regarding member progress

  • Participate in trainings and team meetings

  • Organized and able to manage multiple members and schedules

  • Valid driver's license and eligibility for company vehicle insurance

  • Must be at least 18 years old




Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Six months or more of experience supporting individuals with disabilities

  • Experience in supported employment, vocational rehabilitation, job coaching, human services, or direct support is a plus




Work Environment
  • Community-based role with regular travel throughout the Parker and Denver metro area

  • Flexible schedule based on member and employer needs

  • Combination of community, workplace, office, and residential settings
