Job description



JOB SUMMARY

The position performs various irrigation and infrastructure tasks at the Tree Farm and other locations within the company complex, including installation of new irrigation and repairs to damaged irrigation, constructing new nursery fields and beds and assisting with planting projects at the Tree Farm.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when and where required.
  2. Comply with company safety policies and with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
  3. Install and maintain new irrigation at the Tree Farm.
  4. Install and maintain new irrigation at multiple landscaped locations throughout the company complex.
  5. Repair and replace damaged irrigation.
  6. Layout, build and maintain new nursery fields and beds.
  7. Install and repair electrical boxes and outlets as needed.
  8. Operate tractors and trenchers.
  9. Assist other departments with tasks, when needed, including Landfill, Operations, Ranch, etc.
  10. Other duties as assigned.


REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least three years of experience in either irrigation, landscaping or the ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of landscape irrigation procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions


LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Irrigation Technician license.
