Overview
The Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring efficient workflow, optimal resource utilization, and adherence to company policies. This role requires strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills to manage logistics, inventory, and cross-functional coordination effectively.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily department operations.
- Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of inventory management and warehouse processes.
- Monitor and maintain operational KPIs, addressing gaps or inefficiencies.
- Lead and manage warehouse staff.
- Provide training, coaching, and performance evaluations to develop team members.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
- Identify inefficiencies in operations and implement process improvements to enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and improve service delivery.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate innovative solutions into operations.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
- Investigate and address incidents to prevent recurrence.
- Manage departmental budgets and control operational costs.
- Ensure resources, including equipment and staff, are allocated effectively to meet operational goals.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or service.
- Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Program Management teams to align operations with business objectives.
- Provide regular updates and reports on operational performance to senior leadership.
- Act as the primary point of contact for resolving operational challenges impacting customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, operations management, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- 3+ years of experience in operations or warehouse management, preferably in a distribution environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and WMS software.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000
