Construction Contract Manager

Heavy Civil Construction

Salary: $90,000-$110,000 (depending on experience)

Every successful project starts with a well-structured contract. We're looking for an experienced Contract Manager to lead the review, negotiation, and administration of construction contracts, bid documents, and procurement requirements. Working alongside company leadership and outside legal counsel, you'll help minimize risk, ensure compliance, and support the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects.

What You'll Do

  • Review, draft, negotiate, and administer owner, subcontractor, vendor, and supply agreements
  • Partner with outside legal counsel to negotiate contract language and resolve commercial issues
  • Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, including amendments, renewals, and closeout
  • Maintain organized contract records and monitor contractual obligations
  • Advise internal teams on contract interpretation and risk
  • Help establish contract standards, templates, and best practices
  • Ensure bids, proposals, and contracts comply with owner requirements, company standards, and regulatory obligations while maintaining complete, accurate, and professionally presented documentation
  • Manage bid bonds, performance and payment bonds, insurance requirements, and other contractual security obligations from bid submission through project closeout

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in contract administration, contract management, paralegal, procurement, or construction administration
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating construction contracts
  • Strong understanding of public procurement and contract documents
  • Excellent written communication, organization, and attention to detail
  • Ability to balance legal risk with practical business decisions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Why Schultz?

  • Play a key role in protecting and growing the business
  • Work directly with company leadership and outside legal counsel
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company contributions
  • Company-paid life insurance and disability coverage
  • Paid time off and holidays
