Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Residential Service Plumber to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide professional plumbing services to residential customers, including troubleshooting, repairs, installations, maintenance, and general plumbing system improvements. You will diagnose issues, recommend effective solutions, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

You should be dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and able to communicate clearly with homeowners. Duties

  • Diagnose and repair residential plumbing issues including leaks, clogs, and faulty fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
  • Perform drain cleaning using specialized equipment such as plumbing inspection cameras and augers to clear blockages effectively.
  • Install, maintain, and repair water systems, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with local building codes and safety standards.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and plumbing schematics to ensure accurate installations and repairs.
  • Operate company vehicles safely to travel between job sites while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
  • Conduct remodeling projects or handyman tasks related to plumbing systems, including assembly of fixtures or piping components.
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and inspections completed for each service call.
  • Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.


Skills

  • Construction experience with residential or commercial plumbing projects.
  • Proficiency in welding techniques for pipe fitting or repairs when necessary.
  • Expertise in drain cleaning methods using specialized tools such as plumbing inspection cameras.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools (wrenches, pliers), power tools (drills, saws), and plumbing-specific equipment.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
  • Knowledge of construction site experience including safety protocols and site organization.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
  • Familiarity with local building codes related to plumbing installations and repairs.
  • Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and estimating materials needed.
  • Heavy lifting capability for handling pipes, fixtures, or equipment safely during installations or repairs.
  • Handyman experience including remodeling or assembly tasks related to plumbing systems.
  • Experience operating plumbing system maintenance tools such as drain snakes or water pressure testers.
