Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at Talk Path Rehab Center in Alexandria, Virginia. As a part of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for evaluating, treating, and developing individualized care plans for patients with orthopedic conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients with orthopedic conditions, determining functional limitations and their impact.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans in collaboration with patients that address their specific needs and goals.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to provide rehabilitation services, educate patients, and explain treatment strategies.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of treatment progress and changes in patient condition, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and discuss treatment plans.
  • Engage in community outreach and educational initiatives to promote health and wellness, demonstrating the value of physical therapy.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, offering insights on patient care and collaborating to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor support staff, including aides and interns, to enhance their skills and ensure quality patient care delivery.
  • Continuously advance your professional knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training opportunities.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population ranging from post-operative orthopedic patients to those suffering from chronic pain syndromes and sports injuries. Understanding cultural sensitivities and being adaptable to varying age demographics are crucial to providing compassionate and effective care for each individual.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
  • A valid state license for physical therapy practice in Virginia.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills that foster effective interactions with patients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in an orthopedic rehabilitation setting is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in patient education and mentorship in physical therapy practices.
  • Familiarity with the latest evidence-based treatment interventions and techniques in orthopedics.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
