Job Title: Mid-Senior Electrical Estimator – Commercial Construction (Production-Focused)

Location: Vancouver, BC – Remote or Hybrid options may be considered for the right candidate

TalentSphere is partnering with a well-established and growing commercial electrical contractor to recruit a Mid-Senior Electrical Estimator. Our client has a strong and consistent project pipeline and is looking for a high-output, production-focused estimator who thrives on converting opportunities into awarded work.

This is not a junior, trainee, business development, or highly collaborative “hand-held” role. It is a structured, system-driven production estimating position for an independent, detail-oriented professional who can execute with accuracy and accountability.

Role Responsibilities

• Manage and execute multiple bid opportunities simultaneously ($100K–$5M range)
• Perform accurate and thorough electrical takeoffs using Accubid and LiveCount (or similar)
• Fully interpret complete drawing packages across all disciplines
• Identify risks, scope gaps, and opportunities for margin protection
• Validate supplier and subcontractor pricing
• Prepare professional bid submissions and support the closing process
• Deliver clean, comprehensive handoffs to project management teams
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism

Performance Expectations

• Consistently manage $500K – $1M+in bid volume per week
• Deliver bids on time with strong accuracy and margin integrity
• Demonstrate strong conversion rates of bid opportunities into awarded contracts

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 5–10+ years of progressive electrical estimating experience in commercial construction
• Proven track record estimating $100K – $5Mcommercial projects
• Accubid experience is required; LiveCount or similar takeoff software experience is strongly preferred
• Strong ability to interpret drawings and manage full bid processes independently
• Highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and accountable
• Excellent communicator who can clearly articulate estimating logic and decisions

We are not considering:

• Junior or trainee estimators
• Candidates with primarily residential experience
• Relationship-focused or business development-oriented estimators
• Candidates without Accubid (or equivalent) proficiency

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary:$90,000 – $110,000 (commensurate with experience)
