Job description

1st Shift Sheetfed Press Operator / Lead Press Operator

$28–$45+ per hour | Overtime | Excellent Benefits | 401k with company matching | Paid Training | Relocation Assistance

A growing commercial printing and packaging manufacturer is expanding its operations in the area and adding experienced Sheetfed Press Operators, Lead Operators, and Supervisor-level talent to its 1st shift team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced press operator—or a strong Assistant Pressman ready for the next step—to join a progressive, technology-driven company that invests in modern equipment, its employees, and long-term career development.

Why Consider This Opportunity?
  • $28–$45+ per hour, depending on experience
  • Overtime opportunities
  • 1st shift
  • Outstanding company benefits
  • Paid technical training
  • Regular performance and compensation reviews
  • Advancement opportunities for strong performers
  • Opportunities to move into Lead and Supervisor positions
  • Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates
  • Modern, progressive manufacturing environment
  • Stable company with low employee turnover
  • Team-oriented culture
  • Company promotes and develops people from within
The Position

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Sheetfed Press Operator will set up and operate sheetfed printing equipment while maintaining high standards for quality, productivity, and safety.

The facility produces a diverse mix of commercial print and paperboard products, including cartons, pamphlets, brochures, books, and other high-quality printed materials.

Responsibilities include:

  • Completing press setups and make-readies
  • Operating sheetfed presses efficiently and safely
  • Changing inks and loading materials
  • Producing high-quality printed sheets
  • Monitoring color, registration, and overall print quality
  • Working with various cutting, scoring, creasing, and perforating requirements
  • Inspecting finished work for quality
  • Performing routine preventative maintenance
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Working with the production team to meet quality and productivity goals
Experience We're Looking For

Candidates should have 1–2+ years of sheetfed press experience with equipment such as:

Komori | Heidelberg | KBA/Koenig & Bauer | Manroland 700 | Mitsubishi | Similar Sheetfed Presses

You do not need experience on the company's exact equipment. If you understand sheetfed offset printing and have solid press fundamentals, the company is willing to train.

Ready to Move Up?

Experienced Assistant Pressmen are encouraged to apply. If you've been working as a second pressman or assistant and are ready to become a lead operator, this company has the training and advancement opportunities to help you get there.

The company is also interested in talking with experienced Lead Press Operators and pressroom/production supervisors who may be ready for their next opportunity.

With continued expansion, strong performers can have opportunities for advancement within their first year.

If you're a skilled press professional looking for better pay, modern technology, a strong benefits package, and a company where you can continue to advance, we'd like to hear from you.
