Job Overview - School-Based Therapist (SLP or OT)
Compensation: $65 - $85/hour (Dependent on Experience)
Location: Bronx, NY
Schedule: Full-Time, Part-Time, or Per Diem (School Schedule)
TAG MedStaffing is hiring multiple School-Based Therapists (SLP or OT) in Bronx, NY for our client, supporting therapy services within school settings for the upcoming school year. Flexible placements are available across Bronx, Brooklyn, and Manhattan, working with students on communication, fine motor, sensory, and classroom participation skills. This is a strong opportunity for experienced clinicians, Clinical Fellows (CFs), and new graduates with appropriate licensure.
Responsibilities as the School-Based Therapist (SLP or OT):
  • Therapy Delivery: Provide speech or occupational therapy services in individual and group settings aligned with IEP requirements.
  • Student Development: Support students in improving communication, motor, sensory, and adaptive skills for classroom success.
  • IEP & Documentation: Maintain accurate records, prepare progress reports, and participate in IEP meetings.
Qualifications for the School-Based Therapist (SLP or OT):
  • Education: Master's degree in Communication Sciences, Occupational Therapy, or a related field is required.
  • Licensure: Active New York State SLP or Occupational Therapy license is required or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (SLP).
  • Certification: TSSLD (for SLP) or NBCOT (for OT) is required or must be obtained, with an active NPI number preferred.
  • Experience: School-based or relevant clinical experience is preferred, with Clinical Fellows (CFs) and new graduates encouraged to apply.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to support students in a structured environment.
