We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to support a large-scale Data and Marketing Technology transformation initiative within a complex enterprise environment. The primary focus of this role is Data Engineering, with strong hands-on expertise in Apache Spark/Databricks, SQL, and Data Modeling. The engineer will design and develop scalable data pipelines, transformation frameworks, and integration solutions across enterprise applications and cloud-based data platforms.


The role will also involve REST APIs and system integrations as part of building end-to-end data solutions. Experience with marketing technology platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) is beneficial but not required


Key Responsibilities:


  • Design, develop, and support data pipelines, integrations, and reusable technical capabilities across marketing technology platforms.
  • Build and maintain APIs, data services, and system integrations between marketing platforms, enterprise applications, and cloud-based data environments.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to improve data quality, operational processes, governance controls, and platform performance.
  • Develop technical documentation, solution designs, architecture artifacts, and operational procedures.
  • Support platform modernization efforts, including automation, standardization, security, observability, and operational excellence.
  • Identify and resolve technology, data, and integration issues through root-cause analysis and remediation.
  • Establish and promote engineering best practices, technical standards, and governance processes.
  • Collaborate across architecture, security, risk, and delivery teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and compliance requirements


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, integration engineering, or platform engineering roles.
  • Strong experience developing and supporting distributed data processing solutions using Apache Spark, Databricks, or similar data engineering technologies.
  • Experience designing and implementing REST APIs, event-driven integrations, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data modeling concepts.
  • Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformation frameworks.
  • Experience working in cloud environments and modern data platforms.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), including data extensions, automation frameworks, journeys, APIs, and platform administration.
  • Experience with AMPscript, SSJS, Automation Studio, Cloud Pages, or related SFMC technologies.
  • Experience with Azure Databricks, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, or similar cloud-native data platforms.
  • Experience designing scalable enterprise data and integration architectures.
  • Understanding of security, risk, compliance, and governance requirements within regulated environments.
  • Experience supporting large-scale customer engagement, digital marketing, or customer data platforms.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and operational support practices.
