The Survey Project Manager combines field leadership with technical office responsibilities, including calculations, modeling, and data management. This role supports a wide range of construction applications including heavy civil infrastructure, public works, industrial projects, and mission-critical facilities, ensuring survey operations drive project success and operational excellence.

o Oversee field survey operations and ensure alignment with project schedules and milestones.
o Conduct audits of field procedures and documentation to ensure efficiency and compliance.
o Coordinate pre-construction and post-construction survey data collection efforts.
• Control, Modeling, and Layout
o Establish and maintain control networks using traverse, level loops, and GNSS calibration methods.
o Develop and maintain IFC models to support machine control and field layout activities.
o Perform quantity takeoffs to validate estimates and track completed work for progress and cost control.
o Execute and oversee construction layout activities across all phases of work.
o Ensure layout accuracy aligns with design intent and project specifications.
• Data Capture, Management, and Documentation
o Capture accurate as-built data and topography using terrestrial scanning, aerial survey methods, and traditional survey techniques.
o Manage survey data including storage, backups, and organization of project information.
o Prepare and deliver detailed reports and documentation using survey and data management software.
o Ensure data integrity and accessibility for project teams and stakeholders.
• Quality Assurance and Technical Execution
o Review and verify survey calculations prior to field layout execution.
o Implement and maintain GNSS grade control systems to support accurate machine guidance.
o Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure proper interpretation of technical data.
o Deliver high-accuracy survey data to support construction milestones and quality requirements.
o Troubleshoot technical challenges and adjust survey methodologies based on field conditions.
• Leadership and Team Development
o Lead and support field survey teams and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
o Mentor and develop team members to build technical capability and career progression.
o Assist in interviewing, assessing, and onboarding survey personnel.
o Promote a professional work environment and maintain a positive team culture.
o Model and reinforce RNGD core values across all interactions.
• Field and Physical Requirements
o Travel to active construction sites and support survey operations across multiple project locations.
o Work in varying environmental conditions including outdoor and uneven terrain.
o Lift and transport survey equipment and materials as required.
o Perform fieldwork that includes walking, standing, bending, and climbing for extended periods.
o Work extended hours as required to support project schedules and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
