  • Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups to promote mental health literacy and foster a sense of community among clients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and psychologists, ensuring coordinated patient care that addresses all aspects of mental health.
  • Provide crisis intervention services and ongoing support to clients during urgent situations or mental health emergencies.
  • Educate clients and their families about various mental health conditions, therapeutic interventions, and community resources for additional support.

  • Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional education opportunities.
  • Stay informed on the latest research, advancements, and trends in mental health therapy to enhance clinical practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice serves a diverse population ranging from children to older adults, dealing with an array of mental health challenges. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of clients from all walks of life, helping them navigate complex emotions and situations. We work collaboratively with families to ensure a holistic approach that respects cultural and individual needs.

  • Strong understanding of mental health disorders, best practices in therapeutic interventions, and ethical considerations in counseling.
  • Ability to conduct detailed mental health assessments and devise effective treatment strategies tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling successful rapport-building with clients and collaboration with team members.
  • Compassion, professionalism, and sound judgment in challenging situations and adherence to ethical boundaries.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and comfort with technology to facilitate telehealth services.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience providing therapy to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Background in administering psychoeducational workshops or leading support groups.
