We're looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to lead our B2B efforts for the StashWorks product. StashWorks is an existing platform that plays a critical role in bringing modern, accessible fintech solutions to the workplace. with a small but growing set of clients, and this role will be responsible for evolving the product, scaling its capabilities, and driving its next phase of development. You will own the overall product roadmap while partnering closely with our StashWorks General Manager (GM) to support sales cycles and expand our employer footprint.

You'll operate at the intersection of product strategy, fintech, and go-to-market execution - refining a live product, incorporating real customer feedback, and balancing near-term commercial needs with long-term platform maturity.

Stash is aggressively retooling into an AI-first engineering culture, and you will be at the forefront of that transition. We expect you to be a trailblazer, heavily leveraging tools like Cursor, Opus, and GPT to accelerate the 'easy 80%' so you can focus your brainpower on architecture, security, and strategy. You won't just be building a product; you will be helping us define the modern way to ship it.

What you'll do: 

  • Act as an "Agent Conductor" to architect, design, and rapidly implement services by leveraging AI coding assistants.
  • Own the end to end delivery of software from inception to production
  • Instrument, test, profile, and code review software
  • Continuously deploy to our cloud-based infrastructure
  • Scale software infrastructure for a quickly-growing user base

What we're looking for: 

  • 4-7 years of professional experience building software
  • Proven hands-on experience with AI tools (e.g., Cursor, ChatGPT, etc.) as a core part of daily workflows, driving productivity and enhancing output quality, alongside a commitment to continuously developing AI expertise
  • Consistent integration of AI into workflows and decision-making, with strong judgment-validating outputs, adhering to Stash guidelines (especially for sensitive data), and owning the quality of AI-assisted work
  • Experience building backend APIs and services in a highly collaborative team setting
  • Creative problem solver with a passion for testing, debugging, and overall code quality
  • Experience with event-based architectures
  • Familiarity with or interest in AWS, Terraform, Datadog
  • Data-driven decision maker, willing to take risks, fail fast, and iterate at the speed of AI generation.
  • A keen understanding of testing best practices
  • Familiarity with Ruby, Go

  • Experience building applications at scale
  • Familiarity with or interest in Consul, multi-region systems, multi-cloud design
  • Familiarity with or interest in other areas of our stack including Spinnaker, CI/CD pipelines, Nginx, TypeScript, React, Node.js, Postgres, SNS/SQS, AWS

Salary Range: $129,722 - $193,078

The base salary range represents the reasonably anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, experience and competencies, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data for companies of our size and industry.
