As part of our telehealth framework, you will engage with clients through state-of-the-art digital platforms that facilitate effective therapy sessions, ensuring accessibility and convenience for both counselors and clients. You'll work within a multidisciplinary team committed to evidence-based practices and holistic care.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor at Starting Point Behavioral Center, your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Leading Group Therapy: Facilitate therapeutic group sessions that encourage peer support and shared experiences among clients, helping them build connections and gain insight into their individual challenges.

  • Creating Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients to design customized, goal-oriented treatment plans that address their specific mental health needs, preferences, and objectives.
  • Monitoring Progress: Regularly assess and document your clients' progress using evidence-based assessment tools, and adjust treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary team, engaging in regular consultations to discuss case complexities, share insights, and coordinate care for the best interests of our clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

At Starting Point Behavioral Center, your primary focus will be on young adults aged 18 to 30, who are engaged in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). You'll work with a diverse population, providing support to clients dealing with various mental health and mood disorders, helping them navigate their challenges and embark on the path to recovery.

Qualifications
  • Licensure: A valid LPCC license is required to practice in California.
  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is essential.
Preferred Experience

We seek candidates with at least one year of clinical experience in mental health treatment, specifically working with young adults in either outpatient or residential settings. Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic practices, as well as previous engagement in telehealth services, will enhance your candidacy.

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 140,000, complemented by a sign-on bonus of $3,000. In addition to a robust salary, our benefits package includes:

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage to support you and your family’s health needs.

  • A 401(k) plan with up to a 5% company match to assist in savings for your future.
  • A comprehensive Employee Assistance Program, which provides access to counseling, legal consultations, financial planning, and wellness coaching services.
  • Support for continued education and CEU opportunities to further your professional development and maintain licensure.
