Job Description: FireLight Insurance QA Manual Tester / QA Analyst (for NFS Broker-Dealer)

## Role Summary

This role is responsible for validating and testing insurance carrier products and workflows configured within the FireLight platform for National Financial Services (NFS), a major broker-dealer (part of Fidelity).

The position ensures that insurance products, e-applications, workflows, forms, suitability checks, and integrations function accurately and comply with carrier, broker-dealer, Client, and regulatory requirements before being released to advisors and operations teams.

The role primarily focuses on manual functional testing, workflow validation, regression testing, UAT coordination, and production support for FireLight implementations and enhancements.

# Key Responsibilities

### Product & Workflow Testing

Perform end-to-end manual testing of insurance carrier products configured in FireLight, including:

Annuities (fixed, indexed, variable)

Life insurance products

eApplications and submission workflows

Suitability and compliance workflows

eSignature and document generation processes

Validate product rules, rate tables, riders, disclosures, forms, and underwriting workflows.

Execute functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for new product launches, enhancements, and production changes.

Create and maintain:

Test plans

Test scenarios

Test cases

Test scripts

Defect reports

UAT documentation

Validate "In-Good-Order " (IGO) submissions and ensure downstream processing accuracy.

Coordinate testing cycles with business analysts, operations teams, compliance teams, carriers, and developers.

### Defect Management & Troubleshooting

Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.

Perform root cause analysis for workflow failures, incorrect validations, form issues, and integration problems.

Support production issue triage and provide QA validation for fixes and patches.

### Compliance & Regulatory Validation

Validate Client, broker-dealer, and carrier compliance requirements within FireLight workflows.

Ensure suitability rules, disclosures, state forms, and audit requirements are functioning correctly.

Verify access controls, workflow approvals, and document retention behaviors where applicable.

### Integration & Data Validation

Validate integrations between FireLight and:

Carrier systems

CRM platforms

Document management systems

eSignature providers

APIs and downstream operational systems

Perform API and data validation testing using tools such as Postman and SQL queries where applicable.

### Collaboration & Documentation

Work closely with:

Product configuration teams

Business analysts

Compliance teams

Operations teams

Carrier partners

Development teams

Hexure support teams

Maintain QA documentation, release validation records, and testing evidence for audit and compliance purposes.

Strong understanding of insurance products, especially:

Fixed annuities

Indexed annuities

Hands-on experience with:

FireLight platform (preferred)

or similar insurance platforms and eApplication systems

Experience in:

Manual functional testing

Workflow testing

JIRA / Azure DevOps / ALM tools
