Work Environment

This role is primarily remote, allowing flexibility while serving clients at our hospice center in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities

• Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health concerns, strengths, and support systems.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Provide individual, family, and group therapy utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and trauma-focused therapy.
• Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to develop and implement individualized treatment plans with specific goals and interventions that are tailored to their unique needs.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive coordinated care for each client.
• Crisis Management: Offer crisis intervention and risk assessments, including developing safety plans to support clients in acute distress.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions and treatment progress, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Facilitation: Lead group therapy sessions, psychoeducational classes, and support groups to encourage collective healing and community support.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will focus on individuals in a hospice center who may be grappling with anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma related to life-limiting illnesses. The diverse clientele will include patients at various stages of their mental health journeys, requiring a tailored approach that respects their unique situations and emotional states.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Licensure: Must possess an active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Experience: A minimum of two years of professional experience in a mental health or outpatient setting is essential.
• Therapeutic Expertise: Possess strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and treatment approaches tailored to the mental health needs of clients.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong assessment capabilities and the ability to empathize with clients.

Preferred Experience

• Experience specifically working in a hospice or palliative care setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote service delivery methods.
• Proven collaborative skills with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging between USD 80,000 and 100,000, commensurate with experience, along with a sign-on bonus. In addition, our benefits package includes:
